It was like a while ago that we counted down to 2007 in that familiar auditorium.
I wonder how did that 365 days buzzed through. Frightening.
Even though so, i managed to register the major events that happened in the buzzing year.
It was a year that i:
...bought my first house in my life.
...underwent a terrible 'examified' depression and even entertained the thought of ending my life.
...was terribly resentful for hiding from God.
...had another mountain-top experience during church camp.
...travelled alone to a foreign land for the purpose of holiday aka the BEST holiday in my life.
...migrated from the central to the eastern part of the island which i now called my home.
...reunited with Mummy after 10 years of domestic separation.
...joined CCAs that spiced up the boring stagnant worklife in Tourism Court.
...won a lucky draw and D&D again! [click here for first and second win]
...joined the third cell group since the time i came Brighton.
...built several new relationships with people whom i've not crossed path with.
...attended a record high number of concerts in a year, namely Mayday, Jackie Cheung, A*mei, Show and Fish.
For all these i give thanks. To the God that i serve and worship.
Before watch night service, Persi, Koko, Cheebs and Bonny had dinner at Hips Diners [subsidiary of Billy Bombers] at Bugis Junction.
A cheaper and smaller version of Billy Bombers.
A lil cozy restaurant at the basement, with decent food and good service but don't expect much of an ambience with the forever crowded mall.
Hmm...forgot to shoot the food as we were rushing.
Ok i admit that i'm more keen to show our faces. Kekeke.
We left the mall in a rush for a bigger celebration.
The watch night service was threatened to be cancelled due to space issue but thankfully it was settled.
I would have felt a bit lost if there isn't watch night.
There's no better place to cross the year than with the people of God, in the house of God.
We praised and worshipped.
We gave thanks.
We prayed.
We were inspired by the powerful testimonies.

We counted down to the last second of the year.
We cheered.
We loved.
We gave wishes.
We laughed.
We embraced....

This is a compulsory pose that we must have every year.
My favourite is still the 2007 one. Hopefully 2009 one will be better.
With the same Persi and the same Bonny.
Maybe prettier. Heh.
The 2 dearies who are my strength and motivator.

More seasons to come!
My favourite couple who have great impact in my life.
In fact i don't know them for very long, but long enough to appreciate and heart them.
Hmm yes...that's Tecky aka 龙庭光 and Carol the 龙佳佳。
From the husband, who is always patient and tolerant with my whinings and wilfulness and is still willing to love me for who i am.
To the wife, who is always ready to give me constructive spiritual advices [often after the whinings to the husband] and willingly take on the accountability role.
I thank God for them for who i am today.
We celebrated the first birthday of the year in cell too!
Agnes was a bit upset that we celebrated before the new year arrived so she ended up having to celebrate two years worth of birthday in a year.
Time constrains lah. No choy...
My new family in Christ.
For your info, it wasn't the full strength.
Ah mei is one amazing friend whom i know this year.
I've never come across someone who understands whatever 'entertainment jargons' i used.
She's such a cutsey lil girl.
The service ended at about 1ish but the night didn't end at that.
Supper was at a Hong Kong Cafe along Upper East Coast Road.
I wanted to settle for just a milk tea or something but it was totally impossible to resist the savoury dishes before me.
Spiced squid, XO carrot cake, Spicy chicken wings, Cheese-melt Brocolli,杨枝甘露 [iced mango blended with pomelo] and even the Stockings milk tea [丝袜奶茶].
Interestingly tasty!
This is how attractive the EAST can be.
Ivana, another new found friend with common interests!
Hmm...excluding the 'finer' bits. Haha.
On Upper East Coast Road at 4am.
You must be delighted that the Korean blog has been replaced finally [as much as i hope you would have read by now =p].
I mentioned previously that i wanted to end the year with that sweet memory.
So now that it really ended, Bonny is sad.
It alluded to a sign of moving on for a new beginning and new challenges.
That's life i guess.
Philippians 3:13-14
Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
HELLO 2008!!!
