Year of the Pig...calling who??

Woohoo!!!! I've finally managed to transform my blog.
I wasn't brave enough to trial and error, bearing the fear that my hundred over entries will vanish.
Conclusion...never try never know mah right?
Nice nice?
I like!

CNY is over. =(
Not that i fancy this festive season heaps much but somehow the end of the festival depicts the beginning of the REAL work.
That's my theology.

Alright, here are some highlights of my CNY hols!

Gracie flew back for the lunar new year and we met up with the poly girls for dinner at Vila'ge.
The furnish and the food are exactly the same as Marche.
The only differences are the taste and prices.
One went down, the other went up...respectively.
Anywayz, what was more important was the company of course.
Who cares about the food...other than me? =p
Soon-to-be-mummy Eisa will be delivering in 2 months.
On noes...does it mean i can't siam the "Aunty Bonny" title anymore?

On the eve eve of CNY, CG went to River Hongbao at Esplanade Park.
Eversince my childhood visit like 7-8 years ago, i've never step foot into one since then.
Hmm, if it's not obligatory, i don't think i would ever want again lah.
It's just......un-Bonny to go River Hongbao.
But i'll still tell tourists that it's a not-to-be-missed event. Heh =p
The most interesting part was the fireworks display.
We had a good view from the foodcourt at Marina Square.

Jerry
came back too!
Despite that he stayed for a good 10 days this time, we met up for merely 3hrs on CNY eve.
Don't blame me k...i had to be a good daughter to help Mummy with dinner.
See you in June!
Oh wait.....JUNE wor!!!! JUNE leh!!! JUNE huh!!!! =p

Reunion dinner was with Mummy this year.
We had a good feast of Bonny's favourite steamboat.
I got help ok! I helped with the very important veggies.
Must cut, must remove the stale leaves, must place nicely, must wash oh no...Mummy washed.
She commented that the food turned bad very fast and suggested that we have our reunion 1 week earlier in future!
I hope by next year she forgets what she had said.
Where got people have reunion so early one? With no valid special reasons??
Imagine if people ask: "Ey why you eat so early?"
"Oh, coz my mother say the food will turn bad very fast."
Duh!

大年初一, Bonny went to church!
It was so fun to have service on such a joyous occassion.
穿新衣,穿新鞋.

The Brighton girls! *dling dling*

Anthea and Joyce!
I think it's our first time taking pics in church wor. Heh =)

Okok...ladies and gentleman, girls and boys...listen up!
Let me introduce to you my god-daughter!!!
Charis Chia!!!
Isn't she a pretty doll??
For those who knows Bonny well enough, i don't really fancy babies and kids.
Somehow i just find the affection towards her.
She's such a dearie to me. I love her very much! =)

On the last night before Gracie headed back to Chiang Mai, she invited us over to her house.
Her mum whipped up a hearty feast man! Slurp.
We had a good time catching up in her backyard.
I love to go Gracie's house.
When we were in school, we used to have gatherings at her place. The pool was our favourite spot. =)

This was funny.
Aunty captured this shot for us and insisted that the laterns should be in.
And tah dah...they were nicely fitted in!

Apart from the lovely things that happened during the festive season, Bonny was a lil disturbed when i got back to office.
Remember my story that was published in that book?
A couple of months ago, another publisher contacted Bonny and seek my permission informed me that they wanted to extract my story and it would be published in their health magazine.
Seriously i was pretty alright with it.
Then one day, "someone" from 6th floor of my office saw the article and made a big hoo-ha out of it, together with the rest of the "occupants" on that level.
They were rejoicing on my guts to "criticise" our HR department [you have to read the article to understand this].
To make things worse, "someone" went all the way to pdf the article, titled it "Interesting...pls read" and forwarded it to some of the rest of the employees in the board.
So from 6th, it went to 7th then 10th and don't know where else.
It's weird that it didn't come to the 8th [where Bonny sits]. Maybe it was but i didn't know.
I wasn't disturbed at the fact that the article was circulated.
It turns me off when it was circulated with the wrong intention.
My original intention for the article wasn't targeting at anyone or any department.
It is just MY STORY on the journey I'VE BEEN THROUGH which i hope to serve a least source of encouragement or motivation for people who are in similar situation and secondly...to serve as a reminder to employers to not belittle the abilities of these people.
Well, it's not surprising that they focused on the wrong part since HR is the public enemy number one here.
Thus when they caught the opportunity, they conveniently rode on it and blew up it up loh. Plus it's a big gossip market here loh.
How come they don't say how brave Bonny was to fight the disease leh?
The HR portion was only a mere 6-lines para out of the FULL one page of words leh.
This also shows how narrow-minded people are. Haiz...
Hopefully HR will not pick on me again man.

A Romantic Wedding

[This post was completed last week but the unstable internet connection made me lose the post!!! Arrgghhh]

On the romantic V day, Gil and Mal were hitched romantically! [no meaning, just wanted to make it rhyme =p]
The solemnization ceremony was held at Masonic Club, situated along Coleman Street.
It seems to be a popular place for couples to solemnize at the lil garden in the club.
Must queue one leh.
It's rather pretty though.

Anyway, see pictures!

She's simply gorgeous!

Krissy and Bonny

The PS girls!

Snapshots of the event

Shirlyn, mother of one

Personally i like this pic very much, just that the lil red lattern a bit sala.
Wonder who's the ingenious photographer.... =p

Saw that saw that??
We made or rather, ask people to make a ceremic doll for the wedded couple.
Mal was estatic over it man whereas Gil asked if i've taken the wrong girl's pic. =p

Zoomed-in view

We took some polaroid shots too.
They were supposed to be kept but the couple so Bonny shot the shots loh.

I love to name this pic - Flowers in the Garden.
K lah k lah i'm the Rafflesia can! =p

And they live happily everafter...

Happy..it's New Year!

Oh i didn't know it has been a long while since i updated this space.
Perhaps there wasn't much stuff that happened that's worth mentioning.
Ok la not say don't have, not much only.
It's more that Bonny's a lil busy to write.
Just some highlights and i'll fill in more details when i'm less busy.

#1
Gil and Mal were hitched on this V-day.
They were officially declared man and wife legally.
After like...5? 6? years.
Mal finally won her heart after several attempts of proposal.
(pics on the way)

#2
Bonny's house is really on its way!
Under reno now and should be done by end Feb (if not for the CNY break).
After my 1st and only viewing one week before collection of keys, i realised that Bonny's Mummy has a gift of exaggeration.
"Big! Very big ah! Bigger than your current room!"
Yah BIG...i think my 32-inch LCD tv is the biggest loh.
Well, i just hope that the ultimate result of the house will change my perception.
Had a few tiffs with Mummy eversince the reno started.
I think she must realised that her daughter has grown up and not the "yay, moving house!" only kind of small girl in the past.
But whenever Bonny presented an idea, i'll only receive "哎呀,你不懂的啦!" in return.
谁说我不懂??? 学校有教ok!
Now, she only listens to Bryan Wong.
禄江 said this... 禄江 did that.
Win already loh!

#3
Gracie and Jerry are back.
Met Gracie last evening for dinner with the poly girls. (pics on the way)

She is still the same old Gracie, just that sometimes you will get some Thai replies from her. Heh.
Meeting Jerry tomorrow for lunch. (hopefully got pics)

#4
Bonny got pushed to take part in the Karaoke Idol competition at work.
Early in the morning...when i haven't even turned on my lappy.
Weiyin: "Bonny, i nominate you ah! I sent the email already!"
Huh huh huh??? Si mi si mi??
Aiyoh, Bonny has never taken part in any singing competition before leh.
Only performances.
Bonny doesn't like to compete. Peace peace!!
Calling for people who was/is once/currently my KTV khakis...what songs can i sing huh???
Bonny is clueless man.
Competition will be held in 2 week's time.

HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR PEEPS!
新年如意,年年有鱼余

(我喜欢吃鱼嘛...嘻嘻)

Waiting for truth to reveal

Bonny hardly, if not never, have encounter anyone close (as in friends) who has trouble with the law before.
I wouldn't know how to react or relate to them, not mentioning how to help them.
Somehow i feel that it's your choice whether or not to break the law.
Whether or not you are succumbed to temptations, it's your choice too.
Since you made the wrong choice at that split moment, you jolly-well face it and openly receive the punishment for the crime that you've committed.
But of coz that's just my general perception towards those law-breakers.
I'm not ruling out any other contributing factors too.
And of course there is the possibility of framing and misjudgement.
Imagine you get convicted without any prior ulterior motives or knowledge.
It just.....happened.

CY is one of them...unfortunately.
He was accused of molestation while clubbing in Zouk some time last year.
The girl stopped him while he was squeezing his way through the crowd on the way back from the gents.
She claimed that she was "touched" and she was so "sure" that CY was the culprit.
I just wonder what made her so certain, not as if she has eyes at her back.
He apologised umpteen times but the girl couldn't care a bit and insisted on calling the police.
That night he was handcuffed in public for the very first time in his life.
It became an inerasable part of his memory.
2 days ago, he was officially charged and the torment was escalated to the next level.
He had his first experience of being locked up in a cell together with the hard core criminals as well as hearing his name being announced as a defendent in court.
When i was on the phone with him for that 2 days, he was really torn.
Having known him for 13 years, i've never seen him like this before.
He said he was on the verge of losing his mind during the lock-up.
I could imagine.
Before this, he wouldn't associate himself to any people of such background.

I didn't know what to say or should i even say anything.
My heart broke when i heard the misery he was put through.

He really didn't deserve to have to go through all these.
He tried to remain compose and rationally explain the follow-up actions coming up.
But his shivering voice gave himself away.
I couldn't bring myself to carry on the conversation with him as i felt that he was controlling real hard.
Controlling his frustration, his tears.
He is like that. He will never reveal the soft part of him before his friends.

I don't know how i can help but only to pray.

I didn't doubt him at all. I trust my friend.
Even if there is an obvious evidence, not unless he admits it himself.
Right now, i just hope all things will go well before the day of the verdict.

Pride

Disappointed.
We didn't manage to secure the various courts which were planned initially.
A couple of them made a trip personally to Bedok Sports Hall to make the booking as early as 630am.
Not realising that there were already a queue of uncles who spent their night there, all ready to chiong when the counter opens at 7am.
Were they paid to do this or what?
It reminded me back to the era of queuing up for National Day Parade.
Is this the best way SSC can cater to the public with when they emphasize so much on Sports for Life?
They should seriously crack their brains to replace such primitive booking system man.
Otherwise they should just rephrase their motto as Sports are Lies. =p

Eversince the info was disseminated to the key persons, my mobile didn't stop beeping for a good 10min, till it hung (the incoming messages got jammed).
Frankly, it irritated me a bit.
Yes, Bonny is an easily-irritable creature. =p
I dislike the feeling of people questioning and challenging our spirit of excellence.
It as though posed as a sign of "hey you guys are not doing good enough" and we had to start explaining and justifying our actions with the "prohibits" and our operational process.
It was discouraging, at the same time having to cope with the work behind the scenes.

But looking at it objectively, it's good - so that we can fine-tune the process to make it even better.
The constructive feedbacks and assistance given were undoubtly helpful.
For sure the intention meant well and i should accept them in a positive light and i really do.
It's just that instant moment that got me a lil annoyed and unappreciated la.
But i think i am better. At least i didn't react dramatically. =p

This also explains why i totally ruled out the idea of a career in public relations, communications or even in the service line since years ago.
Other than being not pretty enough, most importantly i don't think i can cope with the stress.

I'm just too prideful. Period.

God is dealing with it now.

Synopsis

Finally the wait is over!
In fact the night after i posted that entry, i got the letter from HDB.
On Tuesday, i received the familiar report from the hospital and it was cleared.
Yay! Praise God!
Hmm...now i'm not sure if i have to wait for the biopsy report (if any) for that thing.
Well, nevermind.

January had just swam past before i could realise it.
Towards the later part of the month, i began to feel the load of the portfolios i'm holding.
Shall not bore you with the nitty-gritty.
But as i carry out each of them, the destiny God has planned, becomes clearer.
Not jumping at assumptions but shall take time to pray and explore.
We'll see.

February will be full of excitement!

After a long 18-months-wait, the place i call my own is just a step away.
Wonder what will be the feeling when i enter the house with the keys tomorrow.
I shall open with a prayer and hopefully i won't get too emotional.
You know me lah.

Both of my good pals residing overseas will be back for CNY in 2 weeks time!
Gracey will be back on Valentine's from Chiang Mai.
The last time i saw her was like June last year.
There are thousand and one things to catch up man.
Jerry will touch down 2 days later.
Not too long after our previous meet-up in early December but i'm not sure when will be our next as he relocates to Lausanne.
Win already loh. Move further and further from home.
Now cannot suka suka come back as and when you wish already.
But you have promised to come for my......... Heh.
Our hearts know can already, no need to spell out one. Hahaha!

Gil will soon be engaged to Mal on V-day.
It will be a doubly significant day for them after this year.
She's the 2nd to get hitched from the PS group.
Therefore how can we not excuse ourselves from work to attend such an important affair right?

Then there's CNY and this year will be a special one for Bonny.
Finally after 10 years, i'm going to have reunion dinner with Mum on CNY's eve.
It wasn't an easy decision as i may run a risk of "persecution" by some external forces. Oh ok...sounds too serious huh.
Hmm nevermind, i hope it won't happen.
Nevertheless, i look forward to the dinner.

Need not be sumptuous but it's the company that counts.
Can sense that Mum was glad when i broke my decision to her.
I am too. =)

Alright, this is just a synopsis of what's gonna happen in the coming weeks.
I'll fill in the details along the way!

Time for school! Ciaoz...
