Grrrr....

I was in a bad mood today.
I was tired.
Went on a course in the morning and just when i returned to office after lunch, my mood worsen.
I was merely asking a simple question and was reciprocated with a stupid foul attitude.
What for?
Trying to flaunt his authority?
I know he already has it what!
I didn't deny that at all!
So sarcastic for what?

I could literally feel my heartbeat hasten.
I was feeling so warm as my blood boiled.
For a split moment, i felt like throwing THE letter.
I felt mistreated.
Where can i find the grace to plan his birthday celebration tomorrow?

It has been a long while since i was so pissed at work.
I was only asking for a simple respect and courtesy that should exist even in a superior-subordinate relationship.

Yes, this is HIS problem!
I'm not gonna let HIS problem affect me.

Going to sleep now.

My Name is Kim Sam-Soon

Been busy this week.
Rushing home as early as i could.

Because of...

After catching the last episodes of My Name is Kim Sam-Soon on Channel U, i pestered Carol to lend me the dvd.
Despite Teck tried to stop me, saying that it's bad for me, i turned a deaf ear.

I think i am one of the mountain turtles who have not watched the serial.
It was so popular in Korea last year and it created a commotion when it was broadcasted on cable beginning of this year.
I didn't even attempt to catch an episode.
Simply i thought the female lead was too unappealing.

I am hooked now, even i had to burn midnight oil.
I laughed at Sam Soon.
I cried with Sam Soon.
I raged with Sam Soon.
I felt for Sam Soon.
Simply because i could relate to her experience.
It left me thinking. A lot.
About things i have left at the back of my mind.
About things i chose to believe i won't be affected by.
Well........ (-_-;)

Nevertheless, besides being caught in an emotional trail.
I fell in love.
With him! =p

Err..yes, Mr Hyun Bin
is on my laptop background. Heh.
Pai sei leh.
So old le still 迷偶像. Kekeke...
Moreover he's younger than me!

But can't help it leh. He's too suave already.
Sshhh..don't tell people ah. =p

Perhaps Teck was right.
I shouldn't have started.

But...

OUR gym

OUR gym opened about a month ago.
Situated on the 2nd level of the building.

It was coverted from a meeting place.
When the idea was brought up initially, we kbkb-ed that we would have no proper place for meetings la, too noisy la, dumbell will drop downstairs la.
But now, after viewing the end product, nobody dare to kbkb anymore.

OUR gym has a red and white colour scheme and a contemporary yet cosy design.

Very refreshing. Very bright.
With just a glance, we know that it's
OUR gym.
Coz it has so much of OUR identity.
Every minute details were taken care of very carefully...from the tinted glass windows, to even the dustbin!
It has 10 - 15 machines, a foosball, a pool table, 2 dart boards, a set of leather sofa and 4 huge bean bags.

It's a long stretch man.
We are so pampered.

After the streneous workout last night at OUR gym, Bonny's bones nearly shattered this morning.
But it was very shiok.
I couldn't believe that i could stretch myself that far.
Yoohoo!!

***

Just before i left my office to head for OUR gym, my AD came over and asked me for some figures.
After furnishing him what he needed, he ended the conversation with...
"I'm so glad to have you with us"
Wa sei!!! Those 8 words were POWER man!
Such a great impact.
Bonny's heart was smiling. =)
And thankful to Him...
NO BONUS?? IT'S OKAY!!!

Heh sorry sorry....say say only la!!

Silence...ssShhh

My life seems to have decelerated since.....can't remember.
Work is as usual, not that i am exceptionally free. Load is still coming in.

Church...ok nothing major.
And i realised, i'm not talking much.
All right maybe my gauge of not-talking-much is still far more than the majority.
But based on my personal assessment...yeah...i'm talking lesser.

At work...
I don't talk unless neccessary. Emails convey the same messages too.
My colleague will sometimes pop by my work station and try to strike a conversation with me.
Comment on my pictures, the music on my radio, my mini fan, my hair, my attire and anything visible.
I'll act busy by staring into my laptop after PRing a few lines.
I know they just wanna have a chat but i just have to find that extra effort to even think of what to say.
Bonny is dao.
[But today during my lunch-in, i chatted with Bengz [a colleague 2 storeys down] over the phone and it's nice talking rubbish with him. We laughed at stupid things and later found out that we had the same 'O' levels points. Well at least i won't suffer from bad breathe for shutting my mouth for too long.]

At home...
Basically i have no one to talk to. So i can't be talking to myself.
Upon reaching home, i'll route myself straight into my room and spend time with my cable tv, pc and of course God.
Ok perhaps God is the only person i talk to.

At school...
Worse! I am a loner.
I will build this fence around me and seclude myself in my own world.
Again i have to find the extra affort to go beyond my fence.
"Hi, i'm Bonny, what's your name?"
"Which year are you in?"
"How many years to complete your course?"
"Where are you working?"
So cliche.
Give me a break.

At church...
Hmm...ok i still talk la.
But lately everyone seems to retreat to a world of their own.
Maybe i should search for my own world too.

Why like that huh??

Worship Pract

I have been going for worship rehearsals on Saturday evenings at Creator's Music.
Turn up your speakers!!!

Heard the bass? That's my favourite part of the song!
I would intentionally fast forward just to listen to that.
Aaron was so stressed about playing that part and i'm so glad he did it ultimately.
Not easy leh....

Saw Uncle John [man in yellow]??
He's so cute hor...
Heh.

I enjoy having rehearsals at Creator's.
The room is of the right size, not too big, not too small.
Everybody can see everybody.
And it's so cosy that we can nua at the couch.
All of us were patient enough to wait for everyone to get things right.
See how much we love one another.

Heh.

I forced Teck to take this.

Sorry Brod... =p
Muahahaha....

好啦好啦...we got the idea!

費玉清的出镜是挺 at the right place right time 的.

Equipping Course 101

Bonny was away for a camp over the past weekend.
Equipping Course 101 (Discovering Your Potential in Christ), that's the title of the camp.

About 20 odd of us from different ministries were gathered last Thurs evening after work.
By right, it was supposed to be a retreat but the hospitality aspects didn't seem to match it leh.
So i shall call it a camp!

The camp site was at Girls' Brigade, an old school standing along Upper Serangoon Road.
Looked old, smelled old too.
But it was well maintained.
I liked the feel actually.
Reminded me of my camp in secondary school.
Not as if i liked school camp.

In the past, i'd never enjoyed school camps coz i thought it was very uncomfortable and troublesome.
Hard sleeping mat that gave me backache.
Stiff long benches in tuckshop which made dining so distasteful.
Shared bathrooms whereby i had to lug all my barang along the corridor, dropping stuff along the way, worse...realised i'd forgotten my towel after the shower.

Surprisingly....i loved the recent experience.
I began to appreciate the tranquility of the environment.
Very quiet, very simple.
We were not in a secluded place, in fact just outside the gate, was the usual rushing traffic.
But somehow there was a detachment.
Other than having proper beds and air-conditioned room this time round, the rest remained unchange.

Day 2 was Games Day!
We were crazy people.

Nobody could imagine we were capable of such boisterous behaviour.
Check out the extreme top right grid and see how Koko was 摧残.

That was the corridor outside our bunks.
We went back to the basic way of communication.
So fun!
Even Pastor joined in! [the skinhead man in the top centre grid]

Starting from top left...
James and Bonny [We were former poly classmates, now church/ministry mates. He's our drummer-cum-guitarist-cum-bassist-cum-keyboardist-cum-anything. Basically whereever needs to be filled, he can do it!]
Top right is Carol and Bonny. [Carol is Lame King's wife but she's perfectly lameless.]
Bottom right...Aaron, Huiping and Bonny. [Hmm...church frens lor.]
Botton left....Sharon (Kuah) and Bonny. [She's my CG mate.]

The Potential in Christ Equippers!

All of us were drained after the 3 days 2 nights camp.
But we were filled.
Personally, i was spiritually recharged.
God spoke a clear direction for me in the area of serving.
Very satisfied.
I aim to put up my best for the glory of His Kingdom.
So that His will will be done.

Amen!

The Cancer Warriors Project

Bonny is never a book person.
If you were to ask me the lastest chi-pop in town, i could even recite the background of the entire music piece.
But today, Bonny wanna recommend this book to you.

Cancer Warriors was inspired by the author (Stella)'s sister, Sally, who had a battle against colorectal cancer.
Her story was so encouraging that it was reported in local newspaper, Shin Min Daily.
Stella, an editor with LIME magazine, embarked on a quest to compile other encouraging tales. Her aim was to
bring hope and comfort to cancer warriors and their families during their darkest days.

Among the 23 stories, you will see familiar faces like Koh Chieng Mun, former Singapore Idol finalist, Daphne Khoo's mother and ............
Get a copy and you will find out!
A CD was also launched together with the book and singers include Sun Ho, Ronin, West Grand Boulevard, Fiona Xie etc.

The book ($12.90) and CD ($14.90) are both out now at Capitaland Shopping malls' customer service counters.
CD is also at Sembawang Music Centres, and the book at 7-Eleven outlets island-wide.

Proceeds from The Cancer Warriors Project will go to Breast Cancer Foundation, Joan Chan Trust Fund, Methodist Hospice Fellowship and Terry Fox Run Foundation.

There will be a concert featuring Ronin, Electrico, West Grand Boulevard and with special appearances from the Singapore Idol Top 3 finalists on 9 Sep (this sat), 2.30pm at Youth Park (next to Orchard Cineleisure).

Must support k! If you wanna know more about the project, drop Bonny a note! =)
