That day when i was at the clinic, i decided to get Persi to test if it's real.
Cool sia!
I was born in a typical chinese family which hardly have any outward expression of love.
So much so that i wondered if my parents ever loved me.
During then, love seemed to be very abstract and distant.
I could only apply in the context of BGR which obviously not applicable to me.
It was when i became a Christian, i was then acquainted with it and started to understand the true meaning of love.
It was also then that i realised that some of my parents' actions were actually done out of love.
I realised i could actually love from my heart - God, my family, my friends and the rest of the people around me.
I love becaused God first loved me.
He tendered my heart and made it easier for me to love Him and others.
Loving the lovable is always easy. The challenge is loving the unlovables.
God told us to love our enemies and pray for them.
Sounds absurd but it's necessary.
When the going gets tough, i couldn't escape from the torment of hurtful circumstances.
Bitterness and vengeance will creep into me and unknowingly, i would have befriended the devil.
As a result, injuring myself even more.
The antitode for me is to go back to the basic.
Learning how to love all over again.
I'm back to the process again.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
