Weekend Distraction

After a emotionally and physically draining week, managed to find myself some distractions over the weekend.
Attended the church wedding of HP and Danny at SPC.
One count off from the list of eligible bachelors and bachelorettes in church
They were the....nth church couple who got hitched this year.
I simply lost count and there are a few more in the months ahead.
They should explore other alternatives of walking the aisle. That flight of stairs is over-used.
Maybe...maybe...ok i don't know. =p
It's just a suggestion.
Their lunch reception was pretty good. One of the tastier caterers among those that i've attended.

After the 2-hours holy matrimony ceremony, Persi and i proceeded to Vivo City for our gai-gai session.
Oh man, people mountain people sea loh.
Not sure if it's due to the PH or coz it's a Saturday.
Well, it could be the usual crowd for the weekends.
I mean it couldn't be more crowded coz it's a PH right.
It's possible lah but...ey....why am i discussing this?
Anyway, for the first time, i kinda fancy this shopping mall.
Coz the boutiques i frequent, were like next to one another lor.
So convenient.
Ok minus the people.
Bonny hates crowd.
Hence we settled our gai-gai in an hour with Persi in delight of her harvest.
Whereas I, was determined to not indulge. Yay!
Caleb and his fiance then joined us for coffee at
Corduroy Cafe at Vivo City.
Great ambience. Great dessert.
But service was barely sufficient.
We had to get our own tables and the waiters, all male and smartly-dressed, weren't that responsive.
Not very bad lah but it could be better.

In the midst of our lazy afternoon chitchat, i got a call from Bengz.
He said he was lost and he wondered if i was too, so that the 2 lost souls could have dinner together.
Only the grandiloquent Bengz was capable of that illustration.
After residing at Tourism Court all these years, it was the first time i had dinner with another "occupant" on a weekend.
Perhaps we didn't want to remind ourselves about work on non-working days.
But Bengz is my good friend in Tourism Court, even when we are not from the same division. Perhaps that was the reason as well.
So the idea of meeting him on a Saturday was pretty comfortable.
Besides, we are staying [real homes] so near to each other.
It was decided that we dine in Parkway Parade and he brought me to his favourite steamboat place which he had just gone to the day before.
And he has been mentioning about that lor. I think he really really likes it.
I still much prefer having steamboat at the comfort of my home.
After dinner, i followed Bengz to everywhere.
Yes...notice the words...FOLLOWED and EVERYWHERE.
I lost count in how many shops we entered before we finally ended at the supermarket 15min before its closure.
The final agenda was to adjourn to McDees for ice lemon tea, our favourite lunchtime beverage.
I decided to be different by ordering a passion fruit tea since it was not lunch. Hah.
We had so much to talk about with all the side-tracks that never returned.
It really took my troubled mind off for a while and it had been uber long ago since i laughed so hard that i thought my heart was stopping.
Before we realised, it was already 2am and the best was when we paid less than 5 bucks each for cab fare, inclusive of midnight charge.
So nice to have friends staying close.

Gracie was back! For the wedding.
Apparently the groom is her brother-in-law.
See...we marry one another in church. Haha.
What a way to put it. But that's nice isn't it?
We took the chance to meet up with the 1B11 [poly] girls...

and Brighton girls!

It's a MUST whenever Princess Grace is back.

I hope the coming week will be better...
