Grocery Shopping (GS)

I wonder since when that i developed a secret hobby of grocery shopping after a hard day of work.
On evenings that i'm dateless, it become quite natural for me to head to Carrefour at Plaza Singapura, one of my favourite malls.
The visit will always begin at Dorothy Perkins to check out if there are new line of apparels and then occasionally Marks and M'phosis.
Carrefour will be my last stop as i don't really wish to lug around with big bags of household items.
The wide variety of products in Carrefour is enough to make me stay for at least 45 minutes with some lanes that i keep repeating.
The longest time i've spent was at the toileteries section. I've ever stood there for an hour, just because i couldn't decide on a suitable brand of shampoo.
For those who have gone on trips with me before would know that i've a strange obsession for toileteries. I just cannot tolerate insufficient supplies of bath foam, shampoo, conditioner, cleanser..........................................
Then followed by the snacks, fruits and juices sections.
There are a lot considerations okay! Is it too heavy for me to carry home? Should i just buy it at supermarket near tourism court since i'm stocking up for work? Is it cheaper at NTUC?
Seriously, 45 minutes is understated. =p
Usually if i know that Mummy will be home, i will get our favourite Honey Roasted Chicken for supper dinner. It's quite good, for supermarket standard.
The whole Grocery Shopping (GS) is pretty therapeutic i must say. Just my ideal kind of single-and-independent lifestyle. =)

Tonight was another GS (grocery shopping) night and i did the routine.
You see, i thought since i was just on my way home, i wouldn't bother to touch up my make-up, except for mere blotting. Therefore GS is usually not a glam thing and the last thing i want is to see familiar faces.
I was coming out from the fitting room at Dorothy Perkins and could sense someone's eyes on me.
I took a peep and wanted to escape when she called out my name. Shite.
S was my poly classmate, who was also known as the beauty queen of our faculty.
It was my second time bumping into her after we graduated ten years ago and i had to be in that kind shabby state!
Powder almost worn off, blusher almost fading, bare eyes were as small as sesame seeds and standing before me was the former Ms Business Studies finalist. How not to hide??!!
Can you imagine, when she meet up with her clique and do the "you remember Bonny in year 1? I bumped into her that day and she looked very haggard leh. Wonder what happened to her hor?"
THAT IS IT!!!!
We exchanged a few words and i hurried off without turning back, while wanting to slap myself for being lazy.
I secretly swore that i will never ever leave the office without touching up my face!
Anyway, Persi joked that it's a rare moment that Bonny would feel insecure.
That's true. Hah.

After GS, i will usually take a long bus ride home, relishing every part of the journey.
Sometimes, i'll fall into deep thoughts about events that happened during the day or the people around me.
Other times, i'll just fall into deep sleep. =p

Who needs dates with GS?
Sorry sorry sorry, just kidding. Please don't stop dating Bonny!
